Hey, um, I. Lewis Libby used to be the lawyer for Marc Rich, the fugitive financier who was pardoned by Bill Clinton. He was his lawyer for fifteen years.

Maybe we should screen our applicants a little better.

The holidays are coming, and we're giving away a free 20-pound turkey! No, not my State of the Union speech from last year, a beautiful farm-fresh bird from Burger's Smokehouse in Missouri.

The "I, Pud" Contest sheet is in the lunchroom, and we want to know what you think the "I" in I. Lewis Libby stands for. To enter, write your name, department, and extension on the sheet, and what you think Scooter's first initial means. English words and names only, and no phrases or clauses, please. The Cabinet will review all the entries and a winner will be selected by the Supreme Court.

Hurry, all contestants must enter before somebody calls a lawyer and shuts this down.

I was surprised you actually showed up to court to plead not guilty. I thought maybe you would have leaked it to Judith Miller for publication in the New York Times. Of course, nobody believes the Times anymore anyway so you would have to plead in person.

I hate that nickname Scooter. I refuse to use it. What's the "I" for?
